Background

Total East Africa Midstream B.V. planned to develop Uganda–Tanzania Crude Oil Pipeline Project, in Buseruka, Hoima District, Uganda. The project covered the construction of 1443 km pipeline. Upon completion, Uganda–Tanzania Crude Oil Pipeline Project would provide 216000 bpd Crude Oil. The project was still in study phase. Construction work would start when Final Investment Decision (FID) was undertaken. The construction period was about 36 months. This project was an important part in One Belt One Road Initiative with Chinese owner involved.
