The project covered the construction of 25.7 MW power plant, installation of PV inverters and energy storage systems, and so on. The project be the most advanced solar farm in UK, even possibly the world, ushering in a new era of subsidy-free, truly sustainable energy. Warrington council had signed a power purchase agreement with Hull solar farm, thus it was expected to supply Warrington Borough Council with 100 percent green electricity and cut its bills by up to £2m a year.
