Background

Gulf Petroleum Ltd planned to develop Lviv Coal to Liquids Project located in Lviv, Ukraine. China National Chemical Engineering Seventh Construction Co Ltd was the EPC contractor of the project, the contract period was 32 months. The project used 6 million tons of raw coal as raw material, after processing and transformation, the final product gasoline and dimethyl ether are produced. The annual production capacity of gasoline and dimethyl ether will reach 900,000 tons and 860,000 tons respectively. After the completion of the project, it will effectively reduce Ukraine's external energy dependence, greatly increase the utilization rate of Ukraine's national natural resources serving the country, and further enhance Ukraine's national energy security and independence. At the same time, the construction of the project will provide sufficient jobs for local residents and help the Ukrainian state and local government to coordinate the promotion of regional economic and social development.
