Tiebissou to Bouake Expressway Project

Ministry of Economic Infrastructures planned to develop Tiebissou to Bouake Expressway Project, in Bouake, Unknown, Ivory Coast (Cote D`Ivoire). China Road and Bridge Corporation was the main construction contractor. CCCC Tunnel Engineering Co Ltd was awarded as the construction contractor for section 3. The project covered the construction of 95.6 km expressway. The project started from the town of TIEBISSOU in northern Yamoussoukro, Capital of Cote D’Ivoire and ended at BOUAKE, the second largest city of Cote D’Ivoire. With the design speed of 130km/h and construction duration of 36 months, this dual two lanes expressway is the largest road project in Cote D’Ivoire after war. The Project would significantly improve the traffic capacity and efficiency between southern and northern Cote D’Ivoire, and even with Burkina Faso, Mali and other neighboring countries to its north.
