Background

Uganda National Roads Authority planned to develop Albertine Graben Road Project, in Albertine Graben, Uganda. Chongqing International Construction Corporation was the construction contractor for Hoima-Butiaba-Wanseko Road. China Railway Seventh Group was the contractor for Masindi-Biiso Road. The project covered the construction of 580 km road. Parts of roads included Hoima-Butiaba-Wanseko Road (111km), Masindi-Biiso Road (54km), Masindi-Bugungu ( 80km), Kaseeta-Lwera (16 km), Hohwa-Nyairongo-Kyarushesha (25 km), and Wanseko-Bugungu Road (23km). The project would ease local transportation and strongly promote the development of oil areas.
