Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives planned to develop Uganda Kapeeka Industrial Park Expansion Project, in Kapeeka, Nakaseke District, Uganda. The project covers the construction of expanding the park from 2.6 square kilometers to 5 square kilometers, and power upgrading construction work. UMEME Ltd was the construction contractor of the project responsible for power upgrading work. Holley Group was the construction contractor of the project responsible for expanding the park area. The project was one project of government's plan to develop and upgrade infrastructure to promote industrialization. It was expected to help increase access to reliable electricity and improve the welfare and quality of life of households so that they could offer productive labor services to the industrial sector and it also contributed to reducing unemployment.
