Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation plans construction of the Bridge across the Volga in village Klimovka near Tolyatti, Samara region, Russian Federation. The length of the bridge will be about 3.8 kilometers. According to the plans it will be steel. For each direction, the lanes are 14.405 meters wide. The maximum speed, according to preliminary forecasts, is 120 km / h. But for the project to work as efficiently as possible, it is necessary to build another 140 km of roads. The project is planned to be implemented in a public-private partnership format. For the construction of a new bridge looking for an investor.In order for the project to pay off, the authorities considered the possibility of a toll on the bridge. The construction project in the Samara region of a new highway with a bridge over the Volga River is an integral part of the promising international road route "Western Europe - Western China". The goal of this transnational infrastructure project is to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between Europe and Asia.
