A Joint Venture of Supreme Energy, Engie and Marubeni Corporation plans the construction of a geothermal power plant in South Sumatra, Indonesia. Phase I includes geothermal resource exploration and drilling. Phase 2 includes developing geothermal steam resources through production and injection facilities and construction, operation, and maintenance of a power generation plant with a total capacity of 90 MW. The 330 MW Power Plantt is expected to greatly develop the renewable geothermal energy sector in Indonesia to give the country an effective alternative energy source. The project has been part of the BRI starting 2015. Mott MacDonald is a consultant. It will monitor the construction.
