Al Zorah Development
plans to construct Al Zorah Development, a community development, located along Ajman's beachfront and creek, UAE. The project will have a built up area of 22 million sq.m. and will include residential, commercial, retail and sports facilities. These facilities will be divided into quarters, which are linked by roads and bridges. A crescent shaped bay will be part of the 16 km beach front which will have sandy beaches and waterside walks. The main components of Al Zorah are the following: the City Center, Parklands (a residential and recreational area), the Bay (a villages area), the Inland Mangrove area, the Gateway, and the Institutional Park (includes schools and universities). The project will be implemented in packages.Package 1 will include the infrastructure and some construction works. Package 2 will include the reclamation works of 3 million sq.m. of land. Package 3, the scope of work was not revealed yet. Infrastructure facilities will include construction of roads, water pipelines, reservoirs, pumping stations, sewerage pipeline, drainage pipeline, sewage treatment plant, solid waste management and associated facilities. The development will have 50% of the buildings; dedicated for residential purposes, 22% for office space, 11% for retail stores, 8% for hotels and 7% for warehousing, storage and infrastructure.
