Background

Electricite du Cambodge planed to develop 400 MW Kandal HFO/LNG Power Plants Project - Liquefied Natural Gas Power Plant, in Lvea Aem District, Kandal, Kandal Province, Cambodia. Consortium of China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd. and CGGC-UN Power Co Ltd was the EPC contractor of the project. Man SE was the power generator suppliers. The project covered the construction of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power plant with the total installed capacity of 200 MW. After the project was completed, it would provide electricity for the Cambodian power grid, effectively alleviating the current power shortage in Cambodia and providing momentum for local economic development.
