• The cybersecurity session organised for employees was delivered by Ali Beshara to generate awareness about the magnitude of cybersecurity trends and the threats related to it

Manama, Bahrain:  Zain Bahrain, the leading Mobile Broadband network operator in the Kingdom, successfully hosted a Masterclass session on cybersecurity for its employees. The session titled, “Stay on Guard” was delivered by Mr. Ali Beshara, a proficient Information Technology professional with over two decades of experience. Zain Bahrain realizes the importance of cybersecurity education and organised the session to amplify the need for upskilling and re-skilling employee knowledge in this area and acquaint them with the latest developments on cyber threats, attacks and privacy issues.

Ali Beshara has specialized in information security and has many professional certifications in the cybersecurity field including a M.Sc. in Public Administration. During the session, Ali educated Zain employees on the various types of attacks such as ransomware, malware, social engineering and phishing and shed some light on cybersecurity trends. Zain employees were acquainted with the necessity of creating a cybersecure organization and how each employee plays a key role in keeping the organisation secure.  He further provided tips on how Zain employees can protect information, passwords, emails and stay safe while working from home. Ali concluded the session with digital risks and threat monitoring and ways to harvest information in order to provide superior organization security. He also provided tips for selecting and using the right frameworks to enhance cybersecurity decision-making in the organization.

The Zain Masterclass is part of Zain Bahrain’s training series and is one of the main development programs that allow employees to be more agile in obtaining information about advanced solutions and keeping up with trends in the telecom sector.
