• Winners of Cohort 6; Eddy Travels, Safety Line, Qaflia and Elves will receive AED 50,000 each, plus intensive mentoring and training within the Intelak Incubator to grow their ideas into viable businesses

Dubai: Intelak, the UAE’s aviation, travel and tourism-focused incubator, has announced the winners of the sixth edition of its incubation program. Intelak is led by Principal Partners GE (NYSE: GE), the Emirates Group, and Dubai’s Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism).

Qaflia, Eddy Travels, Safety Line and Elves were selected as the winners from more than 100 applications from around the world, following a week-long intensive pre-incubation bootcamp with ten finalists held in Dubai. The finalists had worked with industry experts and leading business mentors to validate their market viability before presenting their ideas to judges from GE, the Emirates Group, Dubai Tourism and the Dubai Technology & Entrepreneurship Center (DTEC), where the incubator is based.

Each winning startup will receive a cash prize of AED 50,000, which will be distributed at key milestones on their entrepreneurial journey. They will also take part in Intelak’s two-month intensive learning-by-doing incubation program, which consists of structured workshops, mentorship, and a workspace to build their venture at DTEC. The incubation will kick off on October 4th and will conclude with an Investor Demo Day in December, during which each startup will get the opportunity to pitch to industry experts, angel investors, and venture capitalists for potential further collaboration and/or investment.

Qaflia (UAE) connects cargo sector stakeholders by eliminating pain points and solving inefficiencies with real-time data exchange.  Eddy Travels (Lithuania) is an AI travel assistant that helps travel companies sell and provide support to customers 24/7 on any chat app. Safety Line (France) takes a Big Data approach to underused ground radar data to unleash unprecedented airside analytics for more efficient, safer, and greener operations. Through innovative technological solutions, Elves (Egypt) is a human-first virtual assistant developed as a lifestyle solution for busy people.

Meaning ‘taking off’ in Arabic, Intelak, founded in 2016, supports young entrepreneurs to become part of the innovative ecosystem in the UAE. Since 2016, Intelak has garnered over 1,000 applications; more than 110 teams have participated in the pre-incubation bootcamp; and 24 teams have been named winners, receiving thousands of hours of mentoring and collectively more than 1.2M dhs in equity-free seed funding from the Principal Partners.
