Dubai UAE: Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the UAE’s leading platform for the personal and professional development of businesswomen in the Emirate of Dubai, joined the speaker lineup at the 2020 What’s Next Fest. Hosted by the Female Founder Collective and Visa’s She’s Next, the three-day virtual summit brought together founders from around the world to arm global women entrepreneurs with key lessons to help reframe their businesses and their futures so they can look up and look ahead.

Entitled A Lesson in Leadership, the panel shared insights on leading through uncertainty and making decisions to safeguard one’s business and creating a new roadmap to succeed in 2020 and beyond among other topics.

“We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to speak at What’s Next Fest and excited to be part of Visa’s ongoing global initiative that aligns with our mission to support female entrepreneurship and helps our DBWC members tap into the power of Visa’s global brand and network,” said Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager for the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC). “Collective efforts like these are integral to paving the way for female-led businesses and helps equip them with tools and resources that are useful to their businesses as well as a mindset to suit the new world we’re living in.”

The event showcased star power panels, impactful fireside chats, and interactive Q&A to create inspiration and lasting guidance that expands beyond the boundaries of a single event and country. The sessions provided educational insights, expert guidance, and tangible takeaways to attendees as they forge ahead into one of the most challenging years in history for entrepreneurs.

“We are delighted to expand the impact of our global She’s Next program here in the UAE and the wider MENA region through the collaboration of like-minded partners such as DBWC. At Visa, we remain committed to supporting female entrepreneurs in navigating roadblocks so they can power through the next stage of their business. The topics that our global event was able to share - from alternative and creative approaches to funding, to innovative marketing tactics and insights, enhancing digital experiences or adopting new payment models – are testament to how we continue looking for ways to help women founders build out their entrepreneurial visions,” said Marcello Baricordi, General Manager for MENA at Visa.

The virtual festival took place from 22 September to 24 September.
