Amman, Jordan: Umniah has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development (QRF), which will expand the scope of support provided to the foundation's programs by sponsoring new programs and offering further funding to existing ones. Umniah’s support, which falls under the umbrella of its Umniah Al Khair initiative, is directly in line with its continuous efforts to support and advance the educational sector in Jordan.

The agreement, which was signed between Umniah CEO Ziad Shatara and QRF CEO Bassem Saad, is consistent with Umniah's corporate social responsibility strategy to develop education in both Jordan and the Arab world by focusing efforts on areas including early childhood care and development, innovation in learning, and teacher training.

Through the agreement, Umniah will expand both direct and indirect support for QRF’s new and existing programs, including helping beneficiaries of Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans integrate into their communities by assisting them to acquire the necessary skills that will allow them to succeed in their academic and professional lives. To this end, the company will implement a number of initiatives that will allow them to take part in entrepreneurship incubation programs The Tank, internships in Umniah’s departments as well as possible employment with the company’s Youth Team. Umniah will also continue its donation campaigns that benefit Al-Aman Fund, which are conducted through the company’s umnicoin loyalty program.

In parallel, Umniah will support the ‘My Child’s First Years Program’ aimed at parents, which had a tangible and positive impact on family and community life. The company will support in the production of videos that answer the questions of parents on the best ways to support the early development and education of their children. Umniah will also continue its support of the Healthy Schools Program implemented by the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS), which it adopted five public schools in Zarqa and Irbid as a way to support the education sector and improve the environment for school students, promoting healthy practices among 4,376 male and female students and 9 teachers. Umniah also has a cooperation agreement with Edraak that allows free browsing of educational materials for students on its site. Umniah also renewed its agreement with Jordan River Foundation, which allows Umniah subscribers to call the family support hotline (110) for free. In the near future, Umniah is also planning strategic cooperation with the Madrasati initiative.

At the signing, both Saad and Shatara spoke of their pleasure at the expansion of cooperation between the two entities.  According to Shatara, "Umniah is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with this leading institution, which we have had the honor to work and cooperate with in the past through a number of significant initiatives and programs that have gone on to achieve tangible results. This, in turn, advances economic growth and ensures the welfare of the greater community.
