Sharjah: Heading into its third year, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF), organized by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa), will be taking place on November 25th & 26th 2019, at the Expo Center, Sharjah.

Sheraa unveiled its impressive speaker line-up, which will be headlined by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Founder and CEO of Alliances for Global Sustainability and Founder of Circle of Hope Foundation, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud Founder and Chairman of KBW Ventures, and Grammy award-winning artist and entrepreneur, Akon. Other speakers include Mishal Kanoo, Chairman - Kanoo Group , Muna al Gurg, Managing Director of retail at Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group LLC and Chairperson of Young Arab Leaders, Areije Al Shakar, Director and Fund Manager of Al Waha Fund Bahrain, Chris Gardner, Author of the Pursuit of Happyness, Jonas Kjellberg, Co-creator - Skype, Arlan Hamilton, Founder & Managing Partner - Backstage Capital, Dr. Shefali Tsabary, world-renowned wisdom teacher & relationships expert.

Taking place across two days, the underlining theme for this year is to guide attendees on their inner quest, leading them to find their motivations and greatest sources of inspiration in order to achieve peak performance and elevate the entrepreneurial experience.

At a press conference to announce the festival, Najla Al Midfa, CEO of Sheraa, said, “We look forward to presenting a programme of events, delivered by a range of C-level industry executives. This year SEF seeks to educate entrepreneurs on how the right mindset is crucial in their quest for success. The event strives to cement the UAE as an entrepreneurial hub, that not only aids with business acumen, but also offers a sense of positive health and wellbeing, to help innovators grow, scale and succeed.”

SEF 2019 is set to have a jam-packed programme filled with inspirational speakers and hands-on workshops. For the first time ever, Sheraa will also be bringing ‘Mindvalley Live’ to the Emirate of Sharjah. Attendees will get the opportunity to participate in an immersive experience that will accelerate personal growth, overcome limitations, and shift mindset towards success. Mindvalley is an international educational company focused on personal development and lifelong learning.

Making a comeback this year, Startup Town will showcase 100 innovative startups from around the region, along with a chance to win AED100,000 via a pitch competition. Private meet and greets, and book signings with the award-winning authors have also been scheduled.

This year SEF is being held with the support of its strategic partners Emaar, Sharjah Media City (Shams) and Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development.

Sheraa, a non-profit government organization, is headquartered at the American University of Sharjah and hosts a thriving community of ambitious entrepreneurs. The second Sheraa hub, launched in September 2018, is located at the University of Sharjah.

Since its’ inception, Sheraa has successfully built a community of over 7,000 entrepreneurs and ecosystem players. Validated 300+ ideas through the Idea Lab and graduated over 70 start-ups from the programs. In addition, Sheraa start-ups have generated over $19 million in revenue and raised over $14 million in investment.
