RAK Properties, one of the UAE’s leading real estate developers, will observe Earth Hour, on March 28 at 8:30 pm, by switching off lights and reduce power consumption across all Mina Al Arab and Julphar Towers projects in Ras Al Khaimah and RAK Tower in Abu Dhabi. Lights across the main areas, fire exit and common corridors will be left on during this time.

The organisation invites the public to participate in this movement, help protect the earth and reduce energy consumption, by turning off unnecessary lights and shutting down all electrical appliances for an hour on the day.

Mr. Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, Managing Director of RAK Properties, said that “RAK Properties celebrates this global movement every year and invites the public to participate in this initiative from home, to address the worldwide concerns related to global warming and other environmental issues, whilst also raising awareness and highlighting the significance of energy saving on a daily basis.”

RAK Properties is keen to participate in all activities that contribute towards protecting the environment, help achieve the goal of sustainability and rationalise energy consumption, particularly given the global challenges caused due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The decision to go digital is in support of the UAE community, so that everyone can safely celebrate Earth Hour. It is a time where the world needs to save energy and think green.
