Dubai: The 24th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is living up to the festival’s much-loved reputation for being the biggest shopping celebration with the best prizes!

Taking place until 4 September, the summer-long event brings together the city’s retail, hospitality and entertainment sectors to offer residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy superb savings and promotions as well as walk away with amazing rewards.

This year’s DSS has already given away millions of shopping points, cash prizes and luxury cars to shoppers at Dubai’s malls, stores and outlets since the festival started on 1 July. The DSS fun isn’t slowing down, with plenty of time left to shop, save and win.

This DSS, customers at Pan Emirates can win a brand-new furnished apartment worth AED1.1 million in Al Habtoor City with the Shop & Win Your Dream Home promotion. The life-changing prize is open to all shoppers enjoying DSS savings of up to 70 per cent at Pan Emirates stores around the city until 31 August.

Combining great food at exciting venues with the opportunity to pick up super prizes, the DSS Dine & Win promotion is the perfect event for families, friends and everyone who loves food and fun! Taking place until 4 September, diners who spend AED100 at Dine & Win eateries will be entered into a raffle to win ZOMATO membership and RAK Bank gift cards loaded with AED200. Participating venues are located at the: Al Bustan Centre, Al Ghurair Centre, Al Warqa City Mall, Al Khail Gate Community, BurJuman, Binsougat Centre, Bay Avenue, Dubai Outlet Mall, Mudon Community, Oasis Mall and Shurooq Community Centre. Diners and families can also visit venues at Reef Mall, Times Square Centre, Union Cooperative Al Quoz, Wasl Vita, Dar Wasl, Wasl 51 and Souk Madinat Jumeirah.

Customers who buy any one watch or accessory will receive 25 per cent off, with savings rising to 30 per cent if two watches or accessories are purchased and 35 per cent off for three watches or accessories. Two lucky shoppers will also win AED5,000 in gift vouchers for 1915 By Sedidqi & Sons each week, with four winners announced on the final week of DSS. A total of AED100,000 will be given away over the summer, and participating stores include 1915 by Seddiqi & Sons at BurJuman and Dubai Marina Mall, Seddiqi & Sons at The Dubai Mall and City Centre Mirdif, Guess Watches Boutique at Mall of the Emirates, Guess Watches & GC at City Centre Deira and Guess Boutique at BurJuman.

The Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group’s (DGJG) City of Gold promotion offers shoppers three ways to buy jewellery and win a share of AED10,000 in gift vouchers. Offer One includes up to 50 per cent off making charges on select jewellery collections, while  Offer Two has 75 per cent off selected diamond jewellery, pearls and watches. Offer Three provides shoppers with free gifts with every purchase of jewellery valued over a specific amount. Customers who spend more than AED500 on gold or jewellery are entered into a draw to win AED10,000 in vouchers, with 15 winners announced up to 10 August.

Running throughout the retail festival, the ever-popular DSS SHARE Millionaire promotion gives shoppers who spend AED300 or more at Majid Al Futtaim malls, including Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira and City Centre Me’aisem, a chance to become a weekly winner of one million SHARE points.
