Novo Nordisk team volunteers time & effort for charitable initiatives & community development

Novo Nordisk, one of the world's pharmaceutical leaders, together with Misr El Kheir Foundation, launched an initiative aiming to ensure Iftar for 10,000 people over the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, in line with the company's strategy to support communities in which it operates.
Through its initiative, Novo Nordisk pays special attention to covering a large number of underprivileged areas in 5 different provinces nationwide.
"This initiative has emerged out of Novo Nordisk belief in its corporate social responsibility that not only provides vital treatments, but is always keen on taking part in charitable initiatives, playing a vital role in community development through partnership with organizations such as Misr El Kheir, utilizing their extended experience and well known contributions to develop the Egyptian society," Said Dr. Mohamed El Dababy the General manager, of NovoNordisk Egypt.

The company's employees always dedicate their time and effort for similar charitable initiatives, in addition to their financial contributions. "This initiative is launched to help many low-income people who suffer tough economic circumstances in line with Misr El Kheir projects that aim to develop Egyptian citizens. According to its database, the Foundation determined the neediest families in different provinces. Misr El Kheir undertook its mission, including the contracts signed for high quality meals to be distributed on Ramadan fasters," said Magdy Selim, Head of Studies and Implementation at Misr El Kheir Foundation. The initiative covers "Shakshouk" village in "Ebshway" area in Fayoum province, "Zawyat Abu Mosallam" in "Abu El Nomros" area in Giza province, "Ferhas" village in "Hosh Essa" in Beheera province, "El Hawees" area in "Al Arbaien" district in Suez province, and in Menia province as well.
