Seven Leading Universities in Jordan Join the Innovative Global Program to Prepare the Next Generation of IT Professionals
Amman, Jordan- April 1, 2014: EMC today announced that seven prestigious universities from Jordan have recently joined EMC's global EMC Academic Alliance program (EAA). The Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Al Balqa Applied University, Jordan University of Science and Technology, German Jordanian University, Applied Science Private University, University of Jordan and Al Balqa Applied University - Faculty of Science and Technology recently registered with the EAA program in a bid to prepare the next generation of IT professionals in Jordan.
The EAA program provides universities worldwide with technology curricula to educate the next generation of IT and data analytics professionals, and help meet the industry's growing demand for advanced technology skills.
The higher education sector in Jordan continues to be of core focus to the country's government and development plans aimed at creating a knowledge-based economy through the provision of world-class education and an advanced curriculum. Courses in Information and Communication Technology form a key element of the country's efforts to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of skilled IT resources to enable greater innovation across the country and further grow Jordan's ICT sector.
