Chedid Re has appointed insurance stalwart Lazhar Charfeddine as its new general manager for Chedid Re in Morocco, from where the 30+ year industry veteran will oversee the company’s rapidly growing portfolio in North and West Africa. 

Before joining Chedid Re, he served in Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC) as Executive Vice President – Claims, Reinsurance and Engineering Services. He was responsible for setting up and implementing the claims and reinsurance strategies of the company and backing the underwriting team in their risks’ evaluation. 

With offices in Beirut, Casablanca, Dubai, Limassol, London, and Riyadh, Chedid Re is the leading reinsurance brokers in the Middle East and North Africa, listed by Global Re among the top 20 reinsurance brokers in the world and is a registered broker at Lloyd’s.

Prior to ADNIC, Lazhar Charfeddine was appointed as Regional Director of Africa Re Company, Morocco where he was responsible for developing long- and short-term strategic plans to ensure effective development of the business activities.
