MUSCAT: National Detergent Company (NDC)’s flagship brand Bahar has won the 2019 edition of Oman's Most Trusted Brand award in the Omani Brands category.  Bahar laundry products are favoured in the Sultanate by consumers as it is formulated for local water conditions and provide superior cleaning than multinational brands.

Oman’s Most Trusted Brand Awards is a validation of the public confidence in a brand. Every year this prestigious award is presented to the most trusted brands in the country by Apex Media based on what the general public perceives about the brands they believe in the most.

The winners of the 2019 edition of Oman’s Most Trusted Brand Awards were felicitated at a special ceremony held at Crowne Plaza, Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) recently. His Highness Sayyid Dr Faris Al Said, assistant professor at Sultan Qaboos University was the guest of honour. The ceremony was held under the auspices of His Excellency Eng Isam bin Saud al Zadjali, chairman of Muscat Municipality. The event was also attended by their highnesses, excellencies, chairmen, managing directors, CEOs and senior officials from 38 winning companies.

Bahar was adjudged the most trusted brand in the Omani Brand category in an online survey conducted by Apex Media which received over 700,000 votes. The public voted for their preferred brand in multiple categories including airlines, automotive, banks, hypermarkets, investment and finance companies, jewellery, money exchanges, private hospitals, telecom and Omani brand.  Bahar had won the Oman's Most Trusted Brand award in 2017 too.

Speaking after receiving the award, NDC CEO William Hunt said, "This recognition means everything to Bahar. At the end of the day, the consumer is our key target, so by receiving this award through the consumer vote it truly is meaningful that Bahar is most the trusted brand in Oman. To remain relevant and the most trusted brand, we must maintain our brand promise and that brand promise is more than best cleaning in Arabia at the lowest cost. It is also about our pledge to environment, our pledge to the community and pledge to the country.”

The brand Bahar has an emotional connect with both Omanis and expats.”

The first ISO certified soap and detergent company in the region, National Detergent Company products are extremely popular in Oman and other GCC countries.
