AMMAN: HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Prof. Ivan Bliznets, Rector of the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RSAIP) with the aim of developing long-term educational, academic, scientific and cultural ties between the two sides.

In an extended business meeting that brought together representatives of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI), Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) and members of TAG.Global with RSAIP, the participants discussed the development of joint projects in the field of education and Intellectual Property (IP) in Russia and the Arab countries, such as joint educational courses and programs, student and teacher exchange programs, joint IP and law training courses, joint arrangement of conferences, seminars and workshops, among others.

Honored guests from the Embassy of the Russian Federation, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Amman, and the Representative Office of the Russian Chamber of Commerce in Jordan attended the signing ceremony.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh welcomed Prof. Bliznets by stressing that cooperation with RSAIP is a great opportunity emphasizing TAG.Global’s willingness to provide its support and assistance to the Academy.

"Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property is one of the leading scientific and higher education organizations with ultimate and unique experience. We strive to work with them in science, research and education," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said.

For his part Professor Bliznets said: "Today, an important political and historical event took place. We signed a cooperation agreement between RSAIP and TAG.Global in the field of education, the development of Intellectual Property, and the promotion of the Russian language in the Arab countries. We have agreed on ways of cooperation in various areas, and now we intend to only move forward."

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI) is a unique educational institution specializing in preparing the young generation with the required skills to become the leaders in the new world of information technologies. It is the first university college of its kind in Jordan, which specializes in the development of creativity and innovation. It was established on the basis of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s belief in the capacities of youth and their ability to support the global and local economy. It focuses on providing the appropriate environment for creativity and innovation through modern learning methods.

Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RSAIP) is the only state higher educational institution in Russia specializing in training specialists in the field of creation, management, legal protection, and commercial use of Intellectual Property. RSAIP is a basic organization for CIS countries for training in the IP sphere. The Academy actively interacts with the World Intellectual Property Organization.
