Science-based company opens two Customer Experience Centers (CECs) in Abu Dhabi and Dammam - focused primarily on Oil and Gas Industry

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 12 January 2016

In line with its commitment to providing innovative products and solutions, 3M announced today the opening of two specifically-designed Customer Experience Centers (CECs), in the United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both dedicated to the oil and gas sector, the CECs, located in Abu Dhabi and Dammam, were inaugurated by H. C. Shin, 3M Executive Vice President for International Operations.

Through dynamic displays and interactive, hands-on demonstrations, customers come to 3M innovation centers to collaborate with 3M experts and explore creative solutions to address their ever changing needs.

3M has Customer Experience Centers in 30 countries around the world designed to demonstrate its 46 core technology platforms and explain how they collaborate and use technologies to bring in unique and innovative solutions. The new facilities are among the very few of their kind in the region and will also serve as training hubs where 3M experts will share knowledge and global best practices with key stakeholders of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi's oil and gas sectors and address their needs.

The oil and gas industry will continue to be a focus for 3M. With more than 10,000 products that are used across the industry, 3M solutions can help industry players operate more efficiently and thus overcome some of today's toughest challenges across the industry's upstream, midstream and downstream segments.
