The foreigners, two Canadians, a British woman and one Dutch national have been detained in Sabah, Malaysia, on charges of indecent exposure.
They are accused stripping naked to pose for photos atop a sacred mountain
Tribal elders believe the group angered Mount Kibabalu's spirits, triggering the June 5th earthquake that killed 18 people.
Officials say they're still searching for more of the group.
(SOUNDBITE)(Bahasa Malaysia ) SABAH POLICE COMMISSIONER, JALALUDDIN ABDUL RAHMAN SAYING:
"We will continue the investigation and look for who else is involved and if they are still in Sabah, we will catch them."
The four suspects face a three-month jail sentence, or a fine if convicted.
