It's motto may be 'life's good', but it appears all is not well at LG Electronics.
The South Korean firm has warned its fourth-quarter operating profit is likely to plummet by 80 percent..
from the same period a year earlier...to just over $67 million.
Far short of analysts expectations of over 344 million.
Revenue too is likely to fall 7 percent - again down on estimates.
LG did not disclose further detail but analysts say the firm's margins may be being squeezed by increased competition for high-end TVs
And losses in its smartphone business.
Plus added costs of higher year-end bonuses and marketing expenses for new handsets.
LG isn't the only tech firm whose profit is looking less likely to be a pretty picture.
Samsung has estimated a 29 percent drop in quarterly profit.
Which it's blamed on weak chip demand.
While just a week ago its rival Apple hinted its earnings are likely to bite...
The Silicon Valley giant cut its earnings forecast ahead of releasing quarterly results for the first time since the launch of the iPhone in 2007.
