DUBAI - Saudi Arabia’s main state grain buying agency, the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO), said on Thursday it has issued an international tender to purchase 780,000 tonnes of animal feed barley.

SAGO is seeking the barley for delivery period from October to December, it said in a statement.

The tender deadline is Friday.

SAGO governor Ahmad Al Fares said in the statement that the agency is seeking 13 individual consignments of 60,000 tonnes.

Eight of the 13 shipments are for delivery to Red Sea ports while five are for Gulf Sea ports, the statement said.

SAGO usually announces results for its purchasing tenders on a Monday.
