HAMBURG - Jordan's state grain buyer the trade ministry has issued an international tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of milling wheat which can be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Wednesday.

The tender deadline is Oct. 22.

In the past few months Jordan has struggled to buy wheat and barley in tenders after changed terms for quality specifications and payment reduced participation by international trading houses.

But some recent tenders have been more successful. Jordan bought 60,000 tonnes of wheat in its last tender on Tuesday, when five trading houses took part.
