Not only has the world's longest zipline reopened in Ras Al Khaimah's Jebel Jais, but an overhanging outdoor skating rink as well - the highest in UAE.

The outdoor skating rink, with its stunning mountain scenery, is the perfect backdrop for holiday snaps.

Ras Al Khaimah announced the opening of the exciting new adventure addition on Tuesday.

Visitors are advised to wear warm clothing as temperatures can go down to under 10 degrees in the mountains. The skating rink is nestled 1,300 metres above sea level.

The synthetic skating rink gives visitors an incredibly realistic iceskating experience andis perfect for skating the day away whilst taking in the stunning views.

The skating rink will be open every day (except Mondays and Tuesdays) from 10am to 5pm until March and only costs Dh45 for 30 minutes skating including skates. If you need a bit of help staying steady, skate penguins are available for support.

Perched high, close to the summit of Jebel Jais, the UAE's highest mountain, the Viewing Deck Park has seven viewing decks. Visitors can take in stunning 360-degree vistas of the spectacular Hajar Mountains, formed over 70 million years ago and standing nearly 2,000 metres above sea level.

It is the perfect place to watch people taking the Jebel Jais Flight, tackling the Jebel Jais Via Ferrata and skating.

Gourmet level refreshments are available at the food truck outlets.

The park is open every day from 8am to 8pm. Entry costs are Dh20 for two hours per car (special parking) and Dh5 per person (public parking).
