RIYADH The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation (SCOT) have launched the registration service for the organ donation program on the Tawakkalna website and application, facilitating the enrolment of citizens and residents in the program.

The launch of the service comes following the registration of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman in the organ donation program of the SCOT.

Commenting on the move, the chairman of the SDAIA underlined the importance of harnessing technology to support and serve all national initiatives.

The SDAIA, through the Tawakkalna application, seeks to enhance cooperation with the SCOT and support its efforts in connecting those willing to donate organs to the needy in a bid to realize the aspirations of wise leadership and its directives on the importance of supporting the humanitarian work.

In the first phase, the registration service at the organ donation program will be limited to joining and registration in the program, while other services, such as cancellation and showing the donor card in the digital portfolio, will be added later.

The cooperation between the SDAIA and SCOT seeks to facilitate the organ donation process, whether through the website of the center www.scot.gov.sa, Tawakkalna website tawakkalna.sdaia.gov.sa, or through Tawakkalna application on smartphones, which will transfer information instantly to the donor lists at the center with the aim of speeding up and improving the experience of the user.

This cooperation also seeks to spread the culture of organ donation in a bid to serve patients whose lives depend on organ transplantation, as the Tawakkalna application because of its developed infrastructure is considered a trustworthy link between government departments and affiliated bodies
