Coronavirus: Bahrain reports 690 Covid-19 cases, 613 recoveries

There are currently 43 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 157 cases receiving treatment

The Bahrain health ministry has reported 690 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 613 recoveries.

Of the new cases, 125 were among expatriate workers, 544 were contacts of active cases, and 21 were travel related.

One new death was also reported. The death toll rose to 217.

As many as 12,301 Covid-19 tests were carried out on September 18, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 56,700.

There are currently 43 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 157 cases receiving treatment. 6,916 cases are stable out of a total of 6,959 active cases.
