MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad’s Ramadan gift this year will benefit more than 11,000 orphans and widows.

The King yesterday ordered disbursement of the annual Ramadan donation to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF)-sponsored families, marking advent of Ramadan.

He directed RHF, under the chairmanship of his representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and RHF chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to oversee the disbursement of gifts to Bahraini families.

Shaikh Nasser expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty, RHF honorary president, for his paternal care and constant keenness to share with the RHF-sponsored families blessings of the holy month of Ramadan.

He hailed the King’s keenness to ensure a dignified livelihood for all Bahrainis as well as his care and support for orphans and widows.

RHF secretary general Dr Mustafa Al Sayed said His Majesty has always been keen on sharing with the RHF-sponsored families all occasions, including the holy month of Ramadan.
