AJMAN- H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman today issued an Emiri Resolution to establish the "Masfout Shooting and Equestrian Club." Resolution No. 26 of 2017 was issued after reviewing the decree of Federal Law No. 7 of 2008 on the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, and the final draft of the statute of the Masfout Shooting and Equestrian Club, as well as the final draft of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the UAE Armed Forces to manage and operate the club, to establish a unique local sporting establishment to promote and encourage participation in shooting and equestrian sports, and attract young UAE nationals and foreign residents.

The resolution, which includes nine articles along with certain definitions and interpretations, stipulates that a specialised sports club, known as the Masfout Shooting and Equestrian Club, will be established in the emirate, with its central headquarters in Masfout City, while Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid is entitled to open other branches upon the recommendation of the clubs Board of Directors.

It details that the club's establishment is to encourage and promote shooting and equestrian sports, as well as discover new talents and train them to improve their skills, with the aim of enabling their participation in local, regional and international championships.

The club will be supervised by a Board of Directors that comprise a president, vice president and six to eight board members, who will be selected and appointed upon another Emiri decree, to be issued by Sheikh Ammar.

The resolution authorises the Board of Directors, which will be appointed as per Article 6, to undertake the required procedures to adopt the statute of the club and its declaration by relevant national authorities, in accordance with related legislation.

It also authorises Sheikh Ammar to issue regulations, statutes or administrative resolutions according to the recommendations of the Board of Directors, with the aim of organising the clubs affairs and implementing the provisions of the decree, providing they do not contradict the provisions of the statute, the administrative resolution or related legislation.

The Emiri Resolution is to be published in the Official Gazette and will be circulated to all relevant authorities for implementation.
