MADINAH Moayyad Abu Anaq, spokesman of the branch of the Ministry of Health in Madinah, said that there is no scope for intermediaries to obtain coronavirus vaccine.

“It is impossible to obtain the vaccination for COVID-19 without the proper online registration through the ministry’s Sehhaty application. After registration, the aspirant needs to wait for a text message to verify his eligibility and fix the date of vaccination,” he said.

Abu Anaq said that the vaccination would be provided to the targeted groups in line with the phases announced by the ministry.

“The app is very accurate and there is no room for exemptions in obtaining the vaccination except through the application,” he said while calling on all citizens and expatriates to seek appointment for registration through the app so as to reach fully the phase of health safety.

According to Abu Anaq, it takes a maximum time of 22 minutes for an individual to obtain vaccine after his entry at the vaccination center and before his exit.

“An area has been arranged for visual screening of those, who come to receive vaccine jabs, and this area includes cameras for measuring temperature and facility to ensure the activation of Tawakkalna application.”

He said that there is also another area for those who come to take the vaccine to wait for their turn to get vaccinated where they are provided with health awareness and description about the preventive measures they have to follow after receiving the vaccine dose. After taking the vaccine, the beneficiaries need to spend 15 minutes in the observation area.

The spokesman said that an emergency room was readied at the center, equipped with all the medical and non-medical supplies needed to support emergency cases.

Abu Anaq called on the members of the society to put their trust on the procedures being taken by the ministry, which follows up and monitors all developments related to pandemic and how to deal with it in the best manner.

He also underlined the need to strictly comply with the preventive protocols such as wearing masks, keeping social distance, continue washing hands and proper ventilation of the places.
