Over 100 kilos of spoilt foodstuff destroyed in Oman

Muscat: Inspection teams closed down three food shops and destroyed more than 100 kg of foodstuffs found to be unfit for human consumption.
The Al Dhahirah Municipality said in a statement online: "Joint health inspection visits were carried out by the Food Safety and Quality Department with the participation of health inspectors in the municipalities of Ibri, Yanqul and Dhank. 36 food establishments were visited."
"The campaign resulted in the closure of 3 food establishments in the wilayat of Ibri for non-compliance with health requirements and the destruction of 104 kg of foodstuffs that were found unfit for human consumption," the municipality added.
