KUWAIT CITY: In coordination with the Ministry of Interior, Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) represented by the Department of Manpower Protection is looking for a new way to prevent domestic workers from invading the labor market of private sector as per law no.68/2015, which stipulates that domestic personnel are only allowed to work in private homes, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The daily quoting PAM sources affirmed that 50 percent of violators (domestics) have been arrested since last year- with the help of a four-member committee formed by Cabinet.

They pointed out that domestic visa holders found working in private sector were arrested for violating law no.6/2010 and concerned authorities took legal action to deport them in coordination with the General Department of Residency Affairs at Ministry of interior, and the files of their employers have since been blocked.
