AMMAN Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Omar Razzaz on Wednesday issued a circular, prohibiting employees and visitors from entering ministries, public departments, institutions and places without wearing masks.

The circular, which was sent to all government institutions, also obliged employees and visitors to take the necessary safety and preventive measures and physical distancing norms, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The circular comes in light of the developments in the epidemiological situation, and in implementation of Defence Order No. 11 of 2020, which will come into force on Saturday. Under the order, penalties, ranging between JD20 and JD50 on individuals and JD100 and JD200 on institutions in addition to a 14-day closure, will be imposed for violations.
