Be careful while using firewood indoors, warn UAE police

The police have warned the residents through its social media handles

UAE - The Abu Dhabi Police have urged residents to be careful and to observe safety measures while using firewood or charcoal inside their houses to tackle the cold weather.

"Excessive smoke may cause suffocation and there is always a risk of fire outbreaks, especially during night time," said the police.

As some families have been seen using firewood and charcoal to heat their homes during the cold weather, the Abu Dhabi Police have warned the residents through its social media handles that heating homes using firewood and charcoal may pose a threat to people's safety.
