A total of 750 people in the Northern Governorate have been fined for not wearing face masks in public.

The Northern Governorate Police Directorate said these people did not adhere to directives issued to combat the spread of Covid-19 and were fined BD5 each.

“The Northern Governorate Police Directorate is taking legal procedures against violators who do not wear face masks in public,” said its director general yesterday.

“A total of 750 violations were recorded. “People should only go out in emergencies and apply precautions to help combat the disease.”

The GDN reported on action taken against 282 people in the Muharraq Governorate, while 210 people were fined in the Capital Governorate for not wearing face masks while in public.
