Riyadh –  The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in Saudi Arabia recorded a 4.5% annual increase in February 2020.

The increase was mainly due to higher prices of metal products, machinery, and equipment by 6.8%, as well as a 4.9% rise in the prices of the agricultural and fishery products group, according to the data of the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GaStat).

On the other hand, the WPI index increased by 0.2% compared to its level in January, on the back of a 1.6% rise in the prices of agricultural and fishery products.
