Egypt - Alexandria Customs collected EGP 8.025 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges during June, according to an emailed statement by the Ministry of Finance.

The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Alexandria port recorded EGP 2.291 billion during the first sixth month of 2021.

Additionally, the value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods stood at EGP 6.625 billion by the end of June.

The imported goods included strategic commodities, production inputs, spare parts, general cargo, cars, and tobacco.

Alexandria Port also exported goods during the month, including fertilizers, marble, phosphates, ceramics, sugar, and clothing. Total charges imposed on the export of these goods registered EGP 3.346 million.
