Service targets waste producers generating over 250 tons of waste annuall

Abu Dhabi-UAE – The Licensing, Tariff and Customer Service Department of Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center (Tadweer) has launched the automatic renewal of licenses and permits for environmental services providers and waste producers (all companies and service organizations that generate waste) in Abu Dhabi, as part of its ongoing priority to streamline procedures and enhance the overall customer experience.

The automatic renewal process enables environmental services providers and waste producers generating more than 250 tons of waste annually to complete all procedures related to license and permit renewal through Tadweer’s electronic platforms ahead of the expiry of these permits. If the entities are required to furnish additional documents, these can be submitted via Tadweer’s eServices, thereby eliminating the need for company representatives to visit Tadweer’s customer service centers.

Dr Salem Al Kaabi, Acting General Manager of Tadweer, said: “In line with our strategy to boost the efficiency of our services, this initiative leverages eServices and electronic integration among various government entities to save time and effort for our customers. We seek to implement innovative methods in the operations of the Licensing, Tariff and Customer Service Department to minimize paper-based transactions due to the lengthy procedures involved.”

Dr Al Kaabi also noted that Tadweer supports Abu Dhabi’s drive to improve ease of doing business and develop its economic sectors. The center’s smart and innovative initiatives align with the government’s continued endeavors to enhance the emirate’s business environment.
