ahlibank signs pact with Dhofar Insurance Company to offer comprehensive insurance solutions

Muscat: As part of its efforts to meet customer needs, keeping pace with the rapid changes in the banking sector, ahlibank has announced the signing of an agreement with Dhofar Insurance Company, wherein the bank is yet again adopting industry best practices to offer new, high quality and innovative products and services in Oman.

Under the agreement, ahlibank will strengthen its portfolio of insurance solutions offering its customers comprehensive home and family insurance protections with long term plans, to address their evolved and aware choices. The partnership with Dhofar Insurance will protect individuals and their property from financial risks arising from various potential risks and any uneventful happening.

Commenting on the addition of insurance products in agreement with Dhofar Insurance Company, Muneer Al Balushi – AGM, Head of Retail Distribution, ahlibank, said, “We are pleased to expand the insurance portfolio provided to our customers in Oman. ahlibank has a unique customer-based approach, and we ensure that we take into account the related benefits that our customers can reap in conjunction with any of our new projects implemented or our products on offer. In addition to the comprehensive insurance provided by ahlibank for vehicles, personal accidents and travel, customers will be able to obtain financial security and peace of mind with the new comprehensive family protection long term plan, which is characterized by easy purchase, and extensive coverage.

The plans will offer to cover costs associated with death due to Covid-19, death for other reasons including the cost of caskets, embalming and flight ticket for the transportation of the deceased's body, provision of insurance for total permanent disability while providing the cost of the airline ticket to the insured, and insurance for permanent total disability, permanent partial disability and temporary disability due to an accident. Furthermore, the insurance will cover the hospital's hypnosis expenses, which include the cost of hospital treatment after hypnosis due to an accident.

Similarly, the home insurance is also a complete solution to mitigate loss and covers the building and the contents of the building and devices against any loss or damage, whether through fires and associated risks such as explosion, damage due to aircraft accidents, riots, demonstrations and damage, storms, hurricanes, landslides and earthquakes. It also covers sheltering against theft, protecting contents, such as household items, furniture, installations, etc., within the criteria specified in the document. Owners of houses or apartments, apartments’ tenants in buildings and residential buildings’ tenants can obtain the document.
