The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal has been recognised for excellence after winning numerous esteemed industry awards, further highlighting its position as one of the leading properties in the region for service and personnel.

Mohamed Mustafa, director of sales, has been honoured the top prize in Arab tourism after being named the Best Arab Leader in the Middle East by The Arab Center for Tourism Information in its 11th annual Oscar Tourism Information Awards 2019. The awards attracted more than three million voters across a range of categories and Mustafa beat more than 100 individuals to claim the top prize.

“It gives me great pleasure to be recognised by the leading tourism awards in the Arab world and to be able to represent The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. With undeniable pride, I owe my success to my supportive team and would like to thank the voters for their backing,” Mustafa commented.

Mustafa has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry, having worked at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal for seven years. Mustafa was presented the award for his awareness of Middle East market trends and incorporation into The Ritz-Carlton’s sales strategy, as well as his contribution towards growth and his ability to surpass targets.

Continuing the winning streak, members of The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal culinary team were also presented multiple awards during the Emirates Culinary Guild Competition in Sharjah. After an extraordinary performance at the competition, the team was the only property to achieve medals in every category including two gold medals in the ‘Five-Course Gourmet Dinner Menu by USMEF’ and ‘Four-Course Vegetarian Menu’ categories, won by chef Annada Sankar Das, and chef Karan Bhambure.

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal is a five-star, luxury hotel with a private beach, eight restaurants and views of the Grand Mosque.
