ArabFinance: Energy and automation digital solutions provider Schneider Electric intends to pump additional investments in Egypt, Executive Director of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab said in a November 29thstatement.

The France-headquartered company plans to expand its existing business in 10th of Ramadan City, GAFI’s official said.

Schneider Electric discussed with Abdel Wahab setting up a new distribution center to serve both the Egyptian and African markets, according to the statement.

The facility is expected to span 6 square kilometers, with a goal to create 270 job opportunities, the executive director elaborated.

Earlier this year, Egypt reached an agreement with Schneider Electric to build modern control centers for electricity distribution networks nationwide.
