Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) was recently awarded the Iata 753 Accreditation Certificate for its luggage tracking system in Riyadh - the first station in Saudi Arabia to implement the baggage tracking system.

The baggage tracking system is an automated system that accurately tracks travellers’ luggage and requires airlines to track bags at specific points in the baggage journey to ensure that at any time the status of each bag is known, facilitating a more pro-active customer approach to managing baggage challenges and raising efficiency handling them.

Saudia received the Iata 753 certification through close cooperation with Riyadh Airports Company and the Saudi Ground Services Company after it fulfilled all the requirements by adapting the internal regulations in the management and tracking of baggage to the Iata regulations and became compliant with the IATA 753 requirements, which are implemented in two phases, beginning with internal tracking by the respective staff and then allowing the guest to track his luggage through electronic services. - TradeArabia News Service
