Ithra Dubai, the real estate arm of state-owned Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), has announced the start of the first sliding phase of the world’ s largest cantilever or 'The Link', at its key development, One Za’abeel.

One Za’abeel is an iconic, high-rise, mixed-use luxury development currently under construction in the heart of the city.

Standing at the gateway of old and new Dubai, One Za’abeel comprises two skyscrapers linked by what is described as the world’s largest cantilever, floating 100 m above the ground.

The project comprises two adjacent towers, 67 and 57 storeys high respectively and is connected by the iconic Linx. The sliding works phase began on September 12 at the of the world’ s largest cantilever.

With a total built-up area of 480,000 sq m, the project will have 37,000 sq m office space, 12,000 sq m of retail, a 90-key ultra luxury hotel, a 314-key luxury hotel, 94 serviced apartments, 263 residential apartments and 2,500 parking spaces, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
