ArabFinance: Elsewedy Electric S.A.E (SWDY) announced today that its subsidiary Elsewedy Electric for Trading & Distribution has signed a new engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to build a transmission line and an internal network 33 KV in favor of the Canal Sugar Company according to the following:

- Construction of an internal network of 33 KV with a length of 180 with a value of EGP 255 million on turnkey basis. The EPC contract will be implemented over a 24-month period commencing from the date of signing the contract and receiving the advance payment.

- Construction of a 33 KVtransmission line with a value of EGP 52.8 million on turnkey basis. The EPC contract will be implemented over a 6-month period commencing from the date of signing the contract and receiving the advance payment.

It is worth mentioning that Elsewedy Electric for Trading & Distribution on 28/04/2019 has announced the signing of a contract with EGP 445 million to build a substation and a transmission line for Canal Sugar Company in Egypt.

The total contracts signed in favor for the Canal Sugar Company stood at around EGP 753 million.
