Cairo – Mubasher: Elaraby Group plans to open a new washing machine factory in Beni Suef’s industrial zone in October, the group’s vice president Ibrahim El Araby revealed.

The new factory has been established with up to EGP 200 million in investments, El Araby told Mubasher in an interview.

The factory will produce washing machines under several brands, including Toshiba, Tornado, Hoover, and Candy, El Araby indicated.

He further noted that investments into the company’s complex in Beni Suef have been estimated at EGP 5 billion, adding that twelve factories are set to be built there.

The complex spans approximately 168,000 metres and will offer over 12,000 jobs, he stressed.

These factories will produce washing machines, fans, TVs, air conditioners, and spare parts to support local manufacturing, the vice president said.

Elaraby Group has two industrial complexes in Benha and Quwaysna with more than 22 factories that manufacture electronics and home appliances.
