Cairo – Mubasher: Oil output in Egypt declined by about 7,000 barrels per day (bpd) to around 612,650 bpd in August from nearly 619,440 in July, data released by the Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) showed.

During August, the North African nation’s total oil production stood at 18.99 million barrels, according to statistics conducted by Mubasher.

Year-on-year, oil output fell by 5% from about 643,100 bpd in August 2018.

Since the beginning of 2019, Egypt’s oil production has dropped by 4.8% from around 643,570 bpd in December 2018.
