Cairo –  The Egyptian House of Representatives approved presidential decree no. 324 of 2021 ratifying the letters exchanged between the governments of Egypt and Japan.

These letters include a loan worth JPY 25 billion from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the development of the electricity sector in Egypt as part of the power reform programme, according to a statement on Tuesday.

The programme is implemented in partnership with the African Development Bank (AFDB) and the French Development Agency (AFD) to support power reforms.
